Meet Our Founder
Adebayo Okafor founded AfroScrub to share the beauty rituals she grew up with in Nigeria—simple, effective, and rooted in tradition. Tired of wasteful loofahs and overpriced skincare, she brought together the essentials: the iconic African Exfoliating Net Sponge, raw African black soap, and pure shea butter.
Each product is sourced directly from artisans across West Africa, supporting local communities while delivering real results. For Adebayo, AfroScrub isn’t just about skincare—it’s about heritage, empowerment, and helping people feel confident in their skin, naturally.
Our 4 Core Values

Rooted in Tradition
We honor African skincare heritage. Every product—from our net sponges to raw shea butter—is inspired by time-tested rituals passed down through generations.
Clean, Simple Ingredients
No fillers, no fluff. We keep it real with pure, natural ingredients that do what they’re supposed to—nourish, cleanse, and protect your skin.
Empowering Communities
We work directly with artisans and producers across West Africa, supporting fair trade and reinvesting in the communities that make AfroScrub possible.
Thoughtful Self-Care
We believe skincare should feel good and do good. Our products are designed to elevate your routine without overcomplicating it—just the essentials, done right.
Learn More About the Best
From Nigeria to Your Bathroom
At AfroScrub, we do things differently. While many brands rely on mass production and third-party sourcing, we stay close to our roots—literally.
We partner directly with Nigerian artisans to ethically source our African net sponges, raw black soap, and unrefined shea butter. These time-honored staples are the foundation of our skincare, delivering real results without the fluff.
From sourcing to packaging, everything we do is intentional—because skincare should feel as honest as it is effective.
